The Irish Roots of Jackie Kennedy
Have you ever been interested in researching your roots, but unsure of where to start? As part of our contribution to The Gathering, we are hosting a series of lunchtime lectures on different aspects of Irish family history research in July and August 2013. Lectures will take place in the Seminar Room at 1pm and will last approximately 30 minutes Attendance is Free, no booking required just drop in on the day.

On Thursday 18 July join Jim O’Callaghan, Genealogist for a talk on The Irish roots of Jackie Kennedy
Having worked for many years in the education department of the National Gallery, Jim completed an M.Litt.in U.C.D. in 2006 on the artist Flora Mitchell. Since then a three year diploma in genealogy led him to his research here and in the United States on the Irish roots of Jacqueline Kennedy, a subject of personal interest. Currently he works as a volunteer in the National Library.
