The Festival of Curiosity
The Festival of Curiosity is Dublin's annual festival of science & culture. By day, it is a hands-on adventure in science, play & curious technology for all the family with many free events including the Curiosity Carnival in Smock Alley Theatre (Dublin's first interactive science playground), and the Science in the City Treasure hunt where you will explore the city through on a fun trail of riddles, puzzles and science for all the family.
Spilling out from the Curiosity Carnival in Smock Alley Theatre will be interactive science exhibitions, exploding science shows, future-labs, a LEGO station where you can create, play and build some curious creations, children's science/art and creative writing workshops.
By night, experience a curious series of evening science events - including film, theatre, lectures, debates and discussions including 'CURIOUS STORIES with Dara O'Briain' where you will hear tales of science serendipity & accidental ideas that changed the world, and CURIOUS Futures with RTE's Rick O' Shea where the audience will challenge six leading experts in science as the pitch their visions for the future.
