Playing For Integration

An evening of music celebrating the art of songwriting with John Spillane, a poet and a dreamer whose music is pure magic. Playing for Integration is a collective across eight different European countries, who have travelled to the respective countries to explore traditional folk music, song writing and create new songs since 2011, in the spirit of integration. The concert will feature a selection of these musicians from Austria, United Kingdom, Denmark, Romania, Germany, Denmark and Slovenia. Also performing will be Irish band Shane O’Fearghail/ Caruso, who has received critical acclaim through out Europe after their debut album The Watcher and The Comet.

“ Sometimes a need to sing "Gortatagort" comes over me, no request, and no plan. I bow to its author John Spillane, that poet of Cork.” - Christy Moore
