One City One Book Reading at Brooks Hotel

Brooks Hotel is passionate about literature and supporting the arts. To celebrate the launch of One City One Book Dublin for 2014, the hotel will be hosting a reading on April 2nd from 6-7pm.

The One City One Book initiative encourages everyone to read a book related to the capital city during the month of April every year. This award winning initiative is led by Dublin City Council.

On the night, actor Jim Roche will be reading a selection of extracts from the official book for One City One Book, ‘If Ever You Go: A Map of Dublin in Poetry and Song; edited by Pat Boran and Gerald Smyth. The book features a collection of Irish poetry and songs written by a variety of authors such as Yeats, Boland and Swift. The book also features some anonymous works and lesser know Irish writers.

The night promises to be an evening of literary excellence. The event will be hosted in the atmospheric Café Lounge area of Brooks Hotel and the reading will be accompanied by a classical pianist.

This reading is free of charge, however booking is essential.
