Carnation Theatre's new show "Music Hall" combines high farce, popular traditional and not so traditional live music, as well as exploring the time and attitudes to childbirth in the early part of the last century.
The year is 1916. The war is on the continent is in full swing and trouble is brewing closer to home. Jeremiah Styles, a strapping young colt of 47, has finally convinced his loving mother to loosen the maternal apron strings and allow him to accompany her to a meeting of Cuman na mBan. In his excitement he has downed 5 pints of TK Lemonade, followed by another 5 pints of Ovaltine, three measures of sweetened Cocoa and two tins of Carnation's Evaporated Milk. Suddenly our hero, Jermiah, finds himself cut short. The Emergency was nothing compared to this.
