MESSIAH, George Frideric Handel

Venue: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.

The Culwick Choral Society (www.culwick.org) presents:

MESSIAH

George Frideric Handel Helen Hassett, soprano Stephen Wallace, countertenor Julian Hubbard, tenor Gavan Ring, bass & Orchestra (Brona Fitzgerald, leader) Bernie Sherlock, conductor

Proceeds in aid of MS Ireland

Supported by RTÉ lyric fm.

This Messiah takes audiences back to the origin of Handel's first performance, as he rehearsed it in St Patrick's Cathedral Dublin in 1742.  The Culwick Choral Society is proud to present their 23rd annual charity performances of Handel's Messiah on Wed. 21st and Thurs. 22nd November 2012. The Choir of over one hundred voices will be joined by four wonderful soloists in the glorious medieval St. Patrick's Cathedral, a mere stone's throw from Fishamble Street, site of the first performance of Messiah in 1742, proceeds from which were donated to local charities.  The Culwick Choral Society continues that great tradition by donating proceeds from their annual Messiah performances to selected Irish charities.  This year's charity is MS Ireland  the only national organisation providing information, support and advocacy services to the MS community.

Tickets Available from:

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland, 80 Northumberland Road, Dublin 4.

No booking fee.  Tickets can be bought/collected from MS office, or posted for fee of €1.50.
