Live Animal Crib @ Mansion House
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Christy Burke hosts the Live Animal Crib outside his home, the historic Mansion House, on Dawson Street this December.
This year the crib will be launched on the 9th of December at 11am (further details to be confirmed). The launch will see performances from local choirs, street entertainers and even some face painting for the children.
The live crib is constructed so it is the actual size of the nativity stable to give everyone an idea of what kind of conditions people lived in during biblical times. The animals don’t stay in the stable each night, but are brought in every morning and returned to the farm in the evening.
The crib will close for another year at approximately 2pm on 24th December.
Although admission is free the public may give a contribution.
