Irish Aid Volunteering Fair 2013

Volunteer For a Better World!

Irish Aid Volunteer Centre, 27 - 31 Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin 1


The fair will showcase volunteering options in a variety of developing countries. Over 20 volunteer sending agencies will give advice and presentations detailing their placements, the application process and their personal experiences.

The Minister of State for Trade and Development Joe Costello T.D. will launch a new Irish Aid Volunteering Initiative which will enhance Ireland’s future support for volunteering. The day will also feature a series of lively talks and workshops discussing overseas volunteering opportunities and the sustainable development results achieved through volunteering in developing countries. Recent retirees with experience in the public and private sectors are especially welcome.

Organisations exhibiting on the day will be: Irish Aid (to include UNV), Comhlámh, GOAL, Viatores Christi, VMM, VSO, Agape Adventures, Cristina Noble, EIL, Friends of Londiani, Global Schoolroom, Habitat Ireland, Hope Foundation, Music Harvest, Nurture Africa, SAVIO, SERVE, Suas, The Volunteer Projects, UCDVO, Umbrella Foundation, VLM and VSI.

 

Presentations delivered on the day include: SERVE, VMM, Comhlámh, VSO and Irish Aid on UN Volunteers and the Rapid Response Corps.
