Gonzalez Walsh Duo

Location: Sean O'Casey Theatre, Dublin 3

The Gonzalez Walsh guitar duo is a unique presence on the Irish Live music scene. A collaboration between Irish guitarist John Walsh and Argentinean guitarist and percussionist Lucas Gonzalez, the duo is a melting pot for a diverse range of world music.

Both Flamenco guitarists with a background in Classical guitar, they met on the Dublin Flamenco scene in 2008 and after sharing a stage at various events they decide to combine their talents and shared love of Flamenco, Jazz and Classical music.

From the intensity and passion of Flamenco, to the reflective music of Egberto Gismonti and Chick Corea, the Gonzalez Walsh duo fuses vibrant rhythms, virtuosic guitar playing and a maturity of interpretation to create a uniquely memorable live performance.
