FRED & ALICE Love in the time of OCD
Written and directed by John Sheehy
Performed by Ciaran Bermingham and Cora Fenton

It’s not easy to get by in this crazy old world. But Fred and Alice have discovered that all you really need are 2 tennis rackets, a freezer full of ready meals and an immature coping strategy.
Fred and Alice first met in the home. It wasn’t really a home but Fred always called it a home because that was where he lived, and if you are not living at home then where are you? It was love at first sight for Alice. Fred didn’t talk to her again for years but then eventually Fred got used to her and it was love at first sight for him too.
From their days in care, to independent living, Fred and Alice negotiate the perils and pitfalls of life and love.
A blistering head wreck played at a hilarious pace!
Since its premiere Fred & Alice has been invited to venues and festivals around the country and has been touring all summer, playing to Sold Out houses. The show packed out in Bewley’s last February and CallBack is delighted to have been invited back for another 3 week run.
CallBack has also been awarded a 6 week tour for Fred & Alice by the Arts Council under the Touring and Dissemination of Work grant. This will take place between Feb and May 2014 and it is planned to extend the tour to other venues and festivals both in Ireland and abroad including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
