Florence And The Machine
Farewell to 2012 Fancy Dress Party
Following another hugely successful year Florence + The Machine have announced that they will play an end of year date in Dublin. The Farewell to 2012 Fancy Dress Party will take place at The O2 on December 12th and Florence invites all her fans to celebrate with her with their best costumes.
Florence + The Machine released their second album ‘Ceremonials’ last year to critical acclaim. The record has been an unquestionably massive success around the globe with over 1.7 million sales including 3 x Platinum in Ireland. Featuring the pounding epiphanic positivism of ‘Spectrum’; the galloping massed-ranks majesty of ‘All This And Heaven Too’ and ‘Shake It Out’; the triumphant emotional battle cries of ‘No Light No Light’ and ‘Heartlines’, ‘Ceremonials’ was recorded with her full band over a period of five weeks in Abbey Road's legendary Studio 3, and is another product of her long-running collaboration with producer Paul Epworth.
Earlier this year Florence + The Machine released an MTV Unplugged album following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Alicia Keys and Oasis. The live album featured a duet with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and consisted of a collection of some of her biggest songs to date from her debut album ‘Lungs’ and last years ‘Ceremonials’.
