One of the most successful rappers in history, Eminem has announced  today (December 12th, 2012) he will headline Slane Castle on Saturday 17th August.

Speaking of todays announcement Lord Henry Mountcharles said "In 2005 I said Eminem was a stunning artist.  He is even more so today.  I am thrilled he is going to play Slane"

Since the release of 1999's 'Slim Shady' LP, Eminem has established himself as a hip-hop force and he is an icon of modern culture. Having sold over 100 million albums worldwide, there's no doubt that he will be one of the most popular headliners in Slane’s history.

Throughout his career, his live shows have been phenomenal. Playing with a mammoth live band, the Eminem show is simply unmissable. His last two Irish headliners at OXEGEN and Tennants Vital have gone down in history as unforgettable performances. With Slane 2013  bound to be heavy on hits this will be one to remember. 

Thin Lizzy headlined the inaugural concert in the summer of 1981 and since then Slane has hosted some of the most memorable and largest outdoor concerts in Ireland. The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Queen, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Kings Of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis and REM are just some of the world renowned acts that have played at the venue.
