Dublin Port River Fest

Location: North Wall Quay, Dublin City Centre

Dublin Port’s Riverfest is Ireland’s premier riverside and sailing festival. Whether you’re into sailing and ships or not you’ll enjoy a weekend of family fun and both on and off-water activity.

A huge array of activities are planned over the course of the weekend. Including the arrival of 6 tall ships, curragh racing on the Liffey, boat racing on the Liffey, tug boat demonstrations and much more.

Not to be outdone by the water, land activities will also play a integral part to the festival, with street performers, music, bars, face painting, and carnival attractions from the new Samuel Beckett Bridge to East Link Bridge there to entertain and satisfy crowds.

However, if food is your thing, then Riverfest is guaranteed to have something for you. This year the Markets will have a huge range of quality fresh and exciting food for food lovers to delight in.

A Pirate Village with arts and crafts for children, Liffey and Port Photo Competition, a Dublin Port Tug Boat Dance with water canon on the river, face painters, balloon artists, port boat tours, a circus, a fun fair, a food market and docker & sailor themed porter bar and cafes.

Visitors will witness the largest gathering of Gaffer Boats to have ever taken place on this island. The Gaffers are handmade wooden boats, many of which are over 100 year old. Two Gaffer races will take place on Sunday, June 1 between Samuel Becket Bridge and the East Link Bridge. Great fun for all the family!
