Dublin International Piano Festival & Summer Academy

Event Location: National Concert Hall; Hugh Lane Gallery & Piano Academy of Ireland, Dublin

Welcome to Dublin's first ever International Piano Festival & Summer Academy, an intensive and educational programme for advanced piano students; and an exciting concert series for the music-appreciating, piano-loving public.

Space in the program is limited to 15 participants and for the fortunate students who gain admission, an exciting week of learning, performing, and exploring lies ahead. Those who love to listen can expect to hear great concerts performed by highly acclaimed artists and emerging artists alike. It is a great pleasure to welcome superb instructors, Edmund Battersby and Evelyne Brancart from Indiana University Bloomington and Lance Coburn from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, highly regarded pianists whose credentials include prestigious university positions, prizes in international competitions, and acclaimed recordings.

This Festival is a part of 2013's year-long Gathering, a celebration of Irish culture, sport, and history taking place around the island of Ireland. Many events are based in Dublin where you can attend the Festival concerts while also exploring the rich heritage and exciting nightlife of the city.
