Our Lady’s Children Hospital, Crumlin is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital. It provides evidence based quaternary, tertiary and secondary quality care to children and adolescents in a safe environment driven by knowledge through education and research.
A great fan of the charity and its admirable work, Daniela Liebing jumped at the opportunity of organising the Republic Of Ireland’s very First Give-A-Gig fundraiser in aid of Red Nose Day.
The idea of the concert in Dublin came about, when Daniela suggested an Irish band’s song as Comic Relief’s official single, however the official charity single had already been chosen and the fundraiser staff approached Daniela with the idea of putting together a show, getting musicians and comedians from Ireland and the UK involved.
Daniela herself has a great passion for music and works on a music show of a Dublin Radio Station. With the help of her very capable colleague Louise Tighe, they scrolled through their contacts and researched many Irish up and coming, as well as established musicians.. After days of deliberating both the girls made a small list of 10 artists and comedians they would like to be a part of this very exciting event.
Musicians and Comedians welcomed the idea of the Comic Relief gig in Dublin and happily donated their time for this wonderful Cause. The response has been wonderful!
Paddy Casey, Keywest, Bipolar Empire, Jemson Green, Walking On Cars and The Enemies have all joined the line up. UK comedian Joel Dommett will be providing the laughs for the night.. And that is not all, there will also be special guests and surprises on the night.
