BlueFire Street Fest
Get into the heart of the city for a good old fashioned street party with the second BlueFire Street Fest in Smithfield Square, Dublin 7.
Showcasing the capital’s diversity of arts, it’s a unique collaborative arts festival welcoming all nationalities and cultures, and best of all it’s free.
Taking place in the bustling surroundings of Smithfield Square, the festival features the very best of music and performing arts from the array of cultures and ethnicities that call Dublin home.
Along with fantastic live music from around the world, festival-goers can enjoy workshops and fun educational activities in the BlueFire Street Fest education zone, laughs in the comedy picnic tent, traditional food exchanges bringing people together without the need for a common language, inter-generational story telling, family play-dates with interactive storytelling for children to mix and socialise, free dance lessons, informal traditional music sessions and much more.
From Irish bands such as Gypsy Rebel Rabble, to percussion workshops from Brazil, the festival boasts 30 performers, 50 workshops, street performers, a buskers’ tent, a mad hatter’s tea party, language exchanges, a speaker’s corner, and not to mention plenty of tasty grub.
With an expanding festival program, there’s definitely something to suit all ages and tastes.
