About the Awards
The Dublin Tourism Enterprise Awards are the most prestigious of awards recognising those businesses that have contributed to the continuing success of tourism throughout Dublin through their innovation, professionalism and high standards. The awards are free to enter and are open to all members of Dublin Tourism. Entering is a clear statement about the quality of your business and your commitment to developing tourism in Dublin further still.
Objectives
The main objectives of these awards are to:
- Heighten awareness of and recognise those who have made significant contributions to the growth and success of tourism in Dublin through innovative business ideas efficiently and effectively implemented.
- Reward those who have contributed to the sustainable growth of tourism in Dublin and in the process have also helped to increase the numbers of those employed.
- Increase awareness of the continuing growth of tourism in Dublin.
- Encourage an improved quality of service from all sectors of the business in the tourism industry in line with Dublin Tourism’s objectives.
Awards Categories
Entries can be submitted under seven category headings:
- Accommodation
- Entertainment and Events
- Best Use of Information Technology
- Food and Drink
- Tourism Product and Services
- Travel and Transport
- Dublin Tourism Overall Winner
A special award for the Ambassador for Tourism in Dublin will also be presented on the night.
Gala Ceremony
The gala dinner and awards ceremony will be held in Dublin Tourism Centre on Thursday 19 April 2007. This most unique of venues will be transformed into a candlelit spectacular for one of the biggest nights for the industry in Dublin.
All members are invited to reserve a place and dress code will be Black Tie. The evening will commence with pre dinner drinks followed by a gourmet dinner with entertainment. - Wednesday 21st March – Closing date for entries
- Wednesday 4th April – Shortlisted businesses notified
- Friday 13th April– Last day for ceremony reservations
