The Five Lamps Arts Festival is an area-based arts festival which showcases Irish and international artists in all art disciplines. The 2015 festival will feature many exciting events, beginning with the opening in the beautiful Custom House building on the quays, where you will hear beautiful flute music and see a spectacular Fire Dance. The ceremony will feature actor John Connors from Love/Hate, King of the Travellers etc. There will be an exhibition of work from artist Stephen Loughman; an exhibition of architectural design in O'Connell Street; music in Busara; a recital in the Hugh Lane Gallery; and storytelling for the very young by PUCA puppets. Ronaldo Fanzini will bring his Wonderful World of Mayhem to d-light studios; and Peter Sheridan will showcase his new play in The Writers' Centre in Parnell Square. Other events include talks in the 5 Lamps area and in O'Connell Street; and bus tours on the trail of the Roddy Doyle Trilogy - a 'One City One Book' event.
