Learn to play Gaelic Games

Clash Gaelic Games School is run by three hurling mad brothers who are passionate about Gaelic games and all things Irish. At Clash we consider Gaelic games as being among our most valuable national treasures, no other activity expresses our unique cultural identity quite as vibrantly as Gaelic football and hurling.

We have been brought up playing these games and now aim to give visitors a unique insight into our national treasures. At Clash you won't merely watch the games but experience them first hand as we take you through the skills and then challenge you to practise what you have learned in a match. Prepare to laugh, sweat and laugh some more as you test yourself with some of the toughest (and not so tough!) skills of the games. We combine our practical sessions with the historical background of Gaelic games and some of the mythical stories that are told in Irish folklore. Such is our enthusiasm and passion for what we do, Clash visitors will leave not just believing that they are the greatest sports in the world, but with a greater appreciation for all things Irish.

Our sessions are adapted & structured to suit the requirements of different groups, our coaches are highly qualified and sessions are run in a safe and controlled environment. We can accomodate groups of any size and will tailor our session to suit your needs. All equipment is provided and included in cost. This is an active session and suitable clothing and footwear should be worn.

Clash Sessions take place in Naomh Mearnóg GAA club which is an active local GAA club in Portmarnock, North County Dublin. Onsite facilities include grass & allweather pitches, changing rooms, showers, bathroom facilities, function room and bar.

Portmarnock, situated on the coast is a vibrant tourist destination attracting many to it's beautiful beach, The Velvet Strand and championship golf courses.
