About this event

A Nashville-born son of a Hall of Fame country songwriter (the late Charlie Black), Casey singer songwriter in a literary style about what it’s like to have a human mind in an animal’s body.

Casey Black returns to Ireland in anticipation of the new EP, Simulacra, his fifth studio release. The collection—to be pressed under Black’s nom de plume, Nada Rien—explores the roots and expressions of psychological suffering, from the universal to the personal, the likes of which knocked the artist out of his musical self for nearly a decade. Among the new songs is Black’s I’ve Got a Darkness, previously recorded by Mick Flannery.

The artist is calling this run The Death of Casey Black Tour as a way of allowing Casey Black to sing in Ireland one last time before retiring the name and returning as Nada Rien in the near future.
