First of all, we guarantee to be transparent in our dealings with you as to what information we will collect and how we will use your information. Also, we only collect and use individual user details where we have legitimate business reasons, and are legally entitled to do so. We collect information on our users:

through registration when entering competitions. To register a user for services such as My Dublin, we need to collect information such as, at a minimum, an email address and a password. We also ask some further, voluntary questions (such as county, age, gender and interests), so we can gain a clearer understanding of what you are interested in, in order to personalise the information we give you. (You can update your personal information held in My Dublin at any time.
Note: If you are aged 18 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission before you provide any personal information to us. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
Personal data that is volunteered, or required for the purposes of entering competitions, utilising web site functions, or purchasing services online is stored securely and is not shared with other organisations or utilised for marketing purposes without the permission of the owner.

· Failte Ireland does not collect and retain personal information that is unnecessary to the operation of it’s business. Failte Ireland also has a policy of reviewing all personal data collected in the course of business, and deleting unnecessary personal data where such data has been gathered.
· Typically Failte Ireland does not retain personal data for longer than 30 days. Order data is retained in order to ensure that we have adequate financial and other records. Sensitive financial information such as credit card details are not retained by Failte Ireland after a transaction has been processed.
