On the 16th January 2012, Dublin Tourism, heretofore a subsidiary of Fáilte Ireland, Ireland’s national tourism development authority, is merging its entire operations with Fáilte Ireland.
Fáilte Ireland was formed in 2003 under the National Tourism Development Authority Act to guide and promote tourism as a significant driver of the Irish economy.
Fáilte Ireland provides strategic and practical support to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourist destination. With offices across the country, Fáilte Ireland acts as a corporate resource for tourism professionals and service providers at local, regional and national levels.
