The Olympia in the past has witnessed over 25 phenomenal Jack L nights culminating in the live filming of ‘Momento’ whilst also earning Jack critical plaudits for the shows. He was described ‘as the most singular talent to have emerged from Ireland in the last ten years and in the Olympia he had everybody off their feet and eating out of his hand’.

Jack has been attracting crowds in Dublin over the past few months on the strength of his new top ten album ‘Burn On’, his sixth record release. Critics have universally acclaimed Jacks interpretations of Newman’s songs with both the Irish Independent and State magazine declaring “It’s bloody brilliant". Following its release Gerry Ryan devoted half of his show for Jack to perform songs from the album.

During Jack’s period of absence from the Olympia he has consolidated his position as one of Ireland’s best live performers. By constantly reinventing himself he keeps his audiences guessing yet returning to his shows. He has also performed extensively in the UK and the US including the Edinburgh festival garnering a five star review in the Guardian. His recent Randy Newman album found Jack immersed in American culture with most of 2008 spent in performing and writing in the US.
