Theofanidis Fantasy

Franck Sonata for Violin and Piano

The Korean-American virtuoso violinist Sarah Chang is one of classical music’s most captivating and gifted performers. As well as managing a hectic performance schedule she also appears on numerous television and radio programmes, concert broadcasts and has best selling records for EMI classics throughout Europe, North America and the Far East. This season also sees her perform the world premiere of a new work by composer Theofanidis with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, an extract of which she will perform for this recital. Over the last ten years she has developed into a musician of astonishing virtuosity, sensitivity, passion and maturity. It is our great pleasure to
welcome her back on the stage of The National Concert Hall following her sell-out concerts in recent seasons.
