Festival of World Cultures | 22-24 August 2008
The all-weather Festival of World Cultures is Ireland’s largest global music festival. Entertaining audiences in excess of 250,000 this Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council event features artists from 60 countries in 40 venues over the three-day period.
This year’s Festival offers a cultural cavalcade of music and arts, with a stellar line-up of headline musical acts including the infectious rhythms of
Tiken Jah Fakoly, the etheral
Sa Dingding, the legendary
Ethiopiques, the original salsamuffin architect
Sergent Garcia and the exquisite
Yungchen Lhamo. A galaxy of musical talent and showcase acts from Algeria, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Mali, Morocco and many more.
