Val Normal return to their home turf to play a headline show after touring a vast amount of dates with Abandcalledboy.

In a nutshell, Val Normal can be described, musically, as an alternative with elements of hardcore and instrumental post rock but since the independent release of 2011s debut EP followed by a number of support slots with InMe, Mojo Fury, Mike Got Spiked to name but a few, it was only then were the three-piece dubbed as a band known for their live energetic performances, loud and noisy, delivering an intense show of pounding drums, a crunchy low end guitar tone which earned the band a “no two shows are the same” reputation.

After winning the Blitz Bandslam in April, the Dublin-based band spent Summer of 2012 writing new material, playing a range of shows in the lead to pre-production for the upcoming album titled “’Plans? What Plans?” with Mike Got Spiked drummer David Lodge.

Recording began in early September 2012, the album was tracked, mixed and mastered in as little as eight days, produced by Michael Richards. ‘Plans? What Plans?’ features a number of Val Normal fans and friends on group vocals along with Mike Got Spiked vocalist Gavin Mcguire who contributed his vocal and speech talents as a guest appearance
