Lord Mayor's Masquerade Ball
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Oisín Quinn, will open his residence for one very special night when he hosts the Lord Mayor’s Masquerade Ball on Friday October 25th 2013. This event offers a unique opportunity to visit one of Dublin’s finest and most loved buildings, the Mansion House, whilst kicking off the October Bank Holiday weekend in a truly celebratory fashion.
The Lord Mayor is the first citizen of Dublin and has vowed to use his term to drive positive change in Dublin and to promote the city as a great place to live, to visit and to do business.
Upon arrival, guests will be invited to enjoy a Prosecco reception in the Mansion House moving from the Lady Mayoress’s Parlour, with its selected paintings from Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane, into the Drawing Room and historic Oak Room. Guests will then be ushered into the famous Round Room of the Mansion House, venue of the first Dáil of Ireland, for an evening meal and musical entertainment.
Masked Guests will be treated to a wonderful night in Dublin’s City Centre. Residents of the city, as well as national and international visitors are welcome to reserve and purchase tickets for the event as individuals, as well as in groups of ten.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets for the Ball will be donated to the three children’s hospitals in Dublin – Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and the National Children’s Hospital Tallaght.
