Handel’s Messiah

We are delighted to welcome back opera’s newest star and recent winner of the International Maria Callas Award Claudia Boyle who will join The Irish Philharmonic Orchestra, Choir and guests for our now annual Messiah at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

There will be many performances of Messiah this year, but only one with such a magnificent cast in the inspiring settings of the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre making this a concert not to be missed and a perfect way for family and friends to get into the festive spirit.
Handel’s Messiah was first performed in Fishamble Street in Dublin on April 13th 1742 and is an essential part of the Christmas festivities so come and enjoy this magnificent music with the Irish Philharmonic Choir, the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra and world class soloists including Irish soprano Claudia Boyle.
