Following three preliminary rounds, The 7th Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition Final will see six singers battle it out for the coveted title and first prize of €10,000. With a prize fund in excess of €30,000 and over 12 different prizes, the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition has established itself as a competition attracting some of the most exciting young voices emerging internationally.
Join us and give them your support as they perform a selection of operatic arias with the RTE NSO before a jury chaired by Jane Carty and including Christa Ludwig, Richard Bonynge and the Wexford Festival Opera Artistic Director David Agler.
Previous prizewinners include Pumeza Matshikiza, Sarah-Jane Brandon, Norah Amsellem, Tara Erraught, Simon O'Neill and Orla Boylan, now working in opera houses such as the Stuttgart Opera House; Bavarian State Opera, Munich; Deutsche Oper, Berlin; Vienna Staatsoper and the Metropolitan Opera, New York
