Bonnie & Clyde
On Saturday April 13th, Film Fatale, Ireland’s most glamorous film event, will celebrate the 1930s with a screening of the cult classic heist film Bonnie and Clyde followed by a Dirty Thirties-themed vintage party in The Sugar Club, Dublin.
A screening of the dark and provocative Bonnie and Clyde will be followed by a Dirty Thirties-themed party in the style of the film with live performance from Fanny and The Johns singing songs from the era and Film Fatale’s resident DJs, The Andrews Sisters’ Brothers, playing your favourite vintage dance floor fillers from the 1920s to 1960s. The audience is invited to help set the scene by dressing up in their vintage finest, paying homage to the 1930s or mirroring the films stars, the beautiful Faye Dunaway and the handsome Warren Beatty.
They're young... they're in love... and they kill people. Bonnie and Clyde, Arthur Penn’s groundbreaking heist film, a brilliantly executed brew of lust, larceny, and lethal intentions, stars Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as a hot-blooded couple on a rampage across 1930s America. Based on the true-life exploits of notorious Depression-era bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, the film chronicles the short lives of America's most infamous criminals. Bored with life Bonnie is liberated when she meets charming young drifter Clyde Barrow. Bonnie falls for Clyde and his dreams of a life of crime that will free him from the hardships of the Depression and the two begin a crime spree that extends from Oklahoma to Texas. They rob small banks with skill and panache, soon becoming minor celebrities known across the country.
