Beach House & full line-up

After a series of ecstatically received sold out concerts in venues such as Whelan’s and Vicar St over the last five years Baltimore’s Beach House return to Ireland for their biggest concert to date at the exquisite setting of Dublin’s hidden treasure, The Iveagh Gardens. A full supporting bill will be added to the show in the coming weeks.

Beach House recently released a short film entitled Forever Still. The band spent a night travelling to a series of panoramic locations in Texas to perform four different songs from their 2012 album Bloom. The result is a beautiful 27-minute performance film, to view this film Click here

Beach House’s fourth album Bloom received blanket acclaim upon its release in 2012 and figured highly in the music media’s end-of-year polls.

“Beach House's decision to call this record Bloom is almost too perfect. Over the course of four albums that's exactly what this band has done. Two people from Baltimore started by making incense-smelling, curtains-drawn bedroom pop. Now, eight years later, they make luminous, sky-sized songs that conjure some alternate universe where Cocteau Twins have headlined every stadium on Atlantis. "Bloom" is also what these 10 songs do, each one starting with the sizzle of a lit fuse and at some fine moment exploding like a firework in slow motion. The word captures the music's slow sonority: the round, gleaming edges of Alex Scally's arpeggios and how, in Victoria Legrand's unhurried mouth, all words seem to have a few extra vowels.” – Pitchfork 9.1 Best New Music

“Beach House’s fourth and most sumptuous album.” The New York Times

“[On Bloom] Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand have finessed their vision to perfection.” Independent on Sunday

“Bloom is one of those rare records that skirt close to perfection, an effortless and intriguing listen that can't help but drag a more significant audience into Bloom's orbit.” – Q Magazine
