DUBLIN COMES ALIVE THROUGH OVER 600 EVENTS
Having run from the 5th to the 22nd of September this year, the mammoth Dublin Fringe Festival presented an expertly curated 600 events in over 30 venues around the city.
Theatre, dance, music, comedy, opera, circus acts, burlesque shows and cabaret were all on offer as the city was transformed into a glittering showcase of international talent and a platform for homegrown acts, all reflecting on the spirit of contemporary Dublin expression.
Dublin's Fringe is distinct from its other European counterparts in that curation is key. The hard-working Fringe crew chose shows like Briefs - the all male circus-cabaret-drag extravaganza - to return to Dublin, and the cream of Dublin up-and-comers, like PaperDolls and Collapsing Horse Theatre.
Fringe showed range from the experimental to the hilarious, and with works in every discipline (including, for the first time, video games).
