The Morrison a DoubleTree by Hilton

138 Bedrooms en suite.

The Morrison a DoubleTree by Hilton  is located in the heart of Dublin city, on the banks of the River Liffey, and only 40 steps across the Millennium Bridge from the lively quarter of Temple Bar. This 4* superior hotel is renowned for its style, ambience and discerning atmosphere.

Visitors to The Morrison Hotel have always enjoyed the unmistakeable hint of rock’n’roll in the air, and during our refurbishment, we have taken care to preserve this distinctive, artistic aura, with nods to legendary Irish musicians, bands and artists throughout.

Our recent refurbishment has seen a complete redesign and stylistic overhaul of both our lobby area and all 138 bedrooms in the hotel, courtesy of leading Irish architect Nikki O’Donnell. This has been achieved while staying true to our legacy of supporting new Irish design talent in everything from art to textiles and sculpture, but without compromising on the comfort and style which our guests have come to expect. Our musical theme can even be found in certain bedrooms throughout the hotel, in the presence of famous Irish song lyrics.

The Morrison, like all the best hotels, has a rich Rock n Roll history. In 1999 when Dublin hosted the MTV European Awards, the Morrison hosted the after party and those lucky enough to be there were treated to an impromptu concert from Whitney Houston. Those heady, brash days of the Millennium may be long behind but the Morrison's is still perfectly located just 40 steps from the Millennium Bridge, hugging the Liffey as its stylish decor comforts from those who need a breather.

It's still the hotel of choice for many of the international acts that play Dublin and the musical chord continues with rooms often adorned with lyrics from famous Irish songs. Having undergone a refurbishment and redesign this spring, The Morrison remains stylish, and ambient as well as holding the chance of bumping into a post-concert superstar there.  Always a bonus track.
