Dalkey heritage town lies on the south shore of Dublin Bay and offers an excellent base from which to explore all that Dublin has to offer.
Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre is a Visitor Centre which contains Goat Castle, one of seven fortified Town Houses, dating from the late 1300s. Here also you can experience the tranquillity of the 10th century St Begnet’s Church and Graveyard on the site. You can enjoy the Living History Live Performances, every half hour from 10am weekdays and from 11.30am on weekends, which bring Dalkey’s medieval past vividly to life.
Dalkey itself is steeped in history and coupled with the beautiful setting is not to be missed. Let an experienced guide take you on a stroll back in time with a guided literary or historical walk leaving from Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre at 11.00 on Mondays; 14.00 on Wednesdays and 11.00 on Fridays.
