The Oratory of the Sacred Heart
The Oratory of the Sacred heart is universally regarded as a gem of Celtic revival art. Artist Sister Concepta Lynch decorated this tiny oratory, built at the end of World War One, between 1920 and 1936. Immensely colourful and stunningly detailed the Oratory is unique and is regarded as one of the finest works of Irish art from the first half of the twentieth century. A visit is a must. Visit includes dvd and tour (admission prices and opening times currently not available).
