Number 26 Fishamble Street
No. 26, as it appears today, dates from the 1720s but it incorporates features such as oak beams from an earlier 17th century structure and is definitely built on the foundations of a late medieval or Tudor house. A medieval footpath can be seen in the cellar. This makes it the oldest house in Dublin and is believed to be the longest inhabited family dwelling in the city centre as the present family have been here for almost 250 years
