Record Tower - Dublin Castle

The Record Tower, although later modified, dates from 1205 and is the original south-eastern tower of the medieval castle. Now the home of the Garda (or Police) Museum it served many roles in its historic past. It was once the Wardrobe Tower, the Gunners’ Tower, a state prison and more recently it served as the repository for State Papers – hence its name.
