Pat Liddy is organising Very Special Walks to celebrate the premiere of the world renowned composer, George Frederick Handel's immortal Messiah, which was premiered in Dublin on 13 April, 1742.
Our walk will take in the major places connected with Handel's stay in Dublin and the amazing first performance of his masterpiece.
Our Friday walk will finish with a very special street performance of Messiah extracts which takes place in Dublin on Fishamble Street every year on the day of the very first performance.
On Saturday, 14th April, we will finish with the very special free Messiah extracts performance in Adam and Eve's Church. These unique choral performances by Our Lady’s Choral Society and the National Sinfonia of well known excerpts from Handel’s ‘Messiah’ are unforgettable and joyous experiences! Hallelujah!
