The Irish House Party
Everyone knows there ain’t no party like an Irish House Party and between the jigs and the reels, you’ll find yourself toe tapping to Irish music and dance brought to life in a thoroughly authentic way. The show itself incorporates traditional music and dance with some unique Irish humour and storytelling. The display of sean nós dancing and the brush dance makes, as well as learning about the three indigenous Irish instruments; the harp, uilleann pipes and the bodhrán. No one plays second fiddle at this party and you might even find yourself centre stage testing out your own fancy footwork by the end of the night.
The Irish House Party is Dublin’s unmissable Irish music and dance show. Now in its fourth successful year it is hosted by All Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters in an intimate and homely dinner theatre setting. The Party was something of a revolt by Irish musicians against the cheesy and the twee. It is traditional Irish music and dancing at its very best. A light-hearted introduction to Irelands literary and musical legacy, and some great stories about Dublin further enhance this unique mix of entertainment with a touch of education.
A five minute walk from Temple Bar and located on route from Christchurch Cathedral to the Guinness Brewery in Dublin's medieval quarter, The Irish House Party is a truly unique experience in Dublin
