The Dollstore, Hospital & Museum has arrived at the Powersourt Centre. The shop which is one of Dublin’s oldest institutions, loved by young and old has been given a fantasial space in the Ballroom,(formally the Soloman Gallery) where it will house with care and pride, a precious Museum of Childhood Dolls & Teddy bears.
The grand Georgian ceilings and atmospherically lit rooms create a beautiful home for the dolls & teddy bears which have been cared for over the past four decades and beyond. The owner, Melissa Nolan will have a special area devoted to Irish dolls and miniatures of Irish musical instruments, which feel will be a great attraction for families, doll lovers and tourists alike.
With the wonderful space in the ballroom the Dollstore, Hospital and Museum have been able to create a Museum of Childhood showcasing our collection of antique dolls and teddy bears, some of which date back to the 1900’s.
