The Merrion Square Art Exhibition is Dublin’s only free, all year open-air weekend art exhibition which now has over 200 artists exhibiting. A regular feature for many years in Dublin on a Sunday afternoon has been a stroll around Merrion Square when the square becomes an open-air art gallery. The Exhibition runs from 10.30am to 6.30pm every Sunday.
Dublin City Council runs the Exhibition and the Artists are only allowed to exhibit original paintings of their own creation on Merrion Square so you get to buy original art directly from the artist. Every year new artists are allowed to exhibit so the work and artists keep changing. If you have an eye for art, you could well come away with your very own treasure. It is the perfect place to pick up quality art.
