Seven Social

Seven Social was created in 2011 out of love for amazing food, Irish history & preserving our food heritage. The current premises was a butcher shop in the era of Michael Collins! Some of the beautiful original architecture has been preserved, in the form of the out-house toilet facillities in the rear garden.

Exceptional ingredients are sourced from every corner of the Island & presented in simple, inspiring ways. Only organic & GMO free produce in used. The owner rears her own rare-breed pigs on a certified organic farm outside Dublin. Fish comes from small day boats docking along the Dublin coast. At christmas organic mallard, wild pheasant & partridge are staples of the menu. Ancient heirloom varieties of organic vegetables are put on the menu when at their seasonal best. The entire drink list (juice, beer, wine, sherry, port) follows natural processes & is biodynamically grown. We promote food & drink pairings on our menu. The wine list is extensive & global, with only exceptional wines featured, but offering value at every price point.

Seven Social has created amazing events called "Ancient Irish Feastings". The events let gourmets take a tour of Irish history through food & drink and let you get in touch with your own Irish heritage. The events take place at Seven Social. All attendees enjoy a gourmet 10 course taster menu with matching drinks while learning a lot about our history, traditions & heritage. The ingredients featured at each feasting have historical significance. They even feature ancient drinks, such as wine from an estate in France that was drank by the High Chieftains of Ireland in 1100AD.  There are no other gourmet events like this in Ireland. They are magical evenings & proving very popular. This costs 70euro. 10 matching drinks cost 40euro. Check out the website for the next event or to book seats.

The location ties in with the ancient Irish cuisine. Seven Social is in the centre of a triangle, of the 3 top visitor destinations in the city, all within 5 minutes walk - Old Jameson Distillery, St James Gate Guinness Storehouse, National Museum at Collins Barracks. The entrance to Phoenix Park is 10 minutes walk to the west, O'Connell St is 10 minutes walk to the east. It is the perfect location to dine if you are visting key historical sites in Dublin or are keen to try authentic Irish food like no other.
