The Dakota Bar opened in June 2000 on Dublin's South William Street. For decades, South William Street was the centre of the rag trade in Dublin - Dakota used to house the fabric warehouse for nearby Grafton Street's Switzer's Department Store. Switzers is now long gone and has been replaced by uber fancy department store, Brown Thomas.
Over the past decade South William Street has flourished as a destination with plenty of hip eateries and bars opening.
There are many facets to Dakota - during the day it serves fine freshly made food and offers an oasis of calm in the centre of the city. At Night - it's a popular destination for drinks and rendezvous.
And at the weekend its a great place to party 'til late with some damn fine music playing also.
Dakota offers the public the best in quality food and drinks and service in a modern and chic interior. We Look Forward To Welcoming You.
